  • celebrate the work of teachers in a fun, engaging, and rewarding way;
  • dialogue with colleagues from across disciplines;
  • engage in informed and constructive conversations related to the complexities of teaching and learning; and
  • share strategies and insights that increase teaching and learning effectiveness.

Orientation - The Virtual Shift

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Our session will focus on Cambrian's innovative approach to delivering a virtual Orientation platform and program that can span the globe. Our students have changed, our environment has changed, and so have we. Orientation is a critical component for all new students as they transition from high school, their day-to-day life and sometimes from their home country to enter into an academic journey that is designed to set them up for future success. Our informative approach and just-in-time delivery model have well surpassed our expectations in both access and student satisfaction ratings.

Session Objectives:
Through participation in this session, participants will
  • get an inside view of how to start the planning and transition process into a virtual Orientation format
  • get information on the three-level approach developed to deliver an informative and exciting Orientation
  • hear about the lessons that we learned along the way
  • get the finer details behind a just-in-time delivery strategy
  • learn how to get the most out of the experience for your institution and your students.
