Scientific research has found that Tai Chi has a powerful effect on the body-mind balance, cultivating a stillness that serves to increase focus, reduce stress, and boost neuroplasticity. The purpose of the 25-minute Tai Chi virtual workshop is to allow participants to engage in a variety of Tai Chi exercises. This includes the standing egg concentration activity, body alignment standing exercises, cloud hands moving meditation, and one leg balancing Tai Chi motions. This session will help the participants develop a sense of engagement and inclusivity in their future teaching practice.

Session Objectives
Through participation in this session, participants will have the opportunity to
  • explore concepts of Tai Chi engagement 
  • the principle of Tai Chi movement
  • three balancing and harmonizing moving meditation skills.
Tai Chi is a practice of accessibility, and all people are welcome to learn.
